Careers
On Thursday our Sixth and Fifth Year students enjoyed a talk from the staff of Waterford Institute of Technology about college life and courses available on their campus.

Academic Scholarships
Congratulations to Philip Dunne and Killian Kenny who were awarded Academic Scholarships at the Institute of Technology, Carlow. The students who were members of last year’s Leaving Certificate class were awarded scholarships in the Bachelor of Engineering in the Mechanical Engineering Degree Course. Both students were presented with their awards at a ceremony held in the college last Thursday 25 February. We wish both students every success in the future.
Engineering Week
Many thanks to Gerry Healy, a local engineer, who came in to speak to some of our Second and Fifth Year students. He spoke about how themaths they study in school can be applied to engineering. He alsospoke about engineering as a career.
POST LEAVING CERTIFICATE COURSES
Our Sixth Year students who are interested in pursuing a Post Leaving Certificate Course enjoyed an informative talk by Michael Condron from Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education. Our thanks must also be extended to Theresa, Dorothy and Celine from Arklow Senior College who provided information on their courses in Beauty, Childcare and Business.
