King Lear Lecture
Our Sixth Year Students are looking forward to a visit from Professor Nicholas Grene of Trinity College. Professor Grene, author of Shakespeare’s Tragic Imagination will share his knowledge of King Lear with the students on Monday 12th April. Professor Grene has visited the school on a number of occasions, his talks are extremely informative and we are delighted to have him back.

Transition Year Cinema Visit

Having recently read
The Lonely Bones they will also be travelling to a special screening of the movie at The Gaiety Cinema in Arklow.

Hamlet

On Friday evening March 5th our Fifth Year students will travel to the Helix for a Second Age Production of Hamlet. The students who are studying the play for their Leaving Certificate are looking forward to the performance.

World Book Day Celebrations

From dressing up as your favourite book character to reading challenges this year’s World Book Day was a great success. Well done to all the students who dressed up for World Book Day. Congratulations to Laura Cullen aka Nancy Drew and Dean Dickenson (the Nutty Professor) who won prizes for their costumes.

A Doll’s House

A group of sixth year studentsrecently travelled to the Helix for a Second Age Theatre performance of A Doll’s House, which was enjoyed by all.
