BT Young Scientist 2020 Success for Brendan

Huge Congratulations to 3rd Year student Brendan Conroy who has just won third prize in the Social and Behavioural Sciences, intermediate, individual section of the BT Young Scientist competiton. This is particularly impressive as there were 34 projects in this category!

His project was titled Music To My Ears: A Statistical Analysis of The Effects of Earphones On A Road Users Perception

Brendan’s project investigated if the wearing of headphones made road users less aware of hazards.
He surveyed 100 students and found that wearing headphones caused student’s perceptions to be less than those not wearing headphones.
