School Transport applications open

Applications for Post Primary School Transport Schemes must be made online.

The closing date for applications is the last Friday in April for the forthcoming School Year.

SciFest@School fair

Well done to all students and teachers at Avondale Community College for another fantastic SciFest@School fair this year!
A sincere thank you to Hugo Rowsome from SciFest and former teacher Ms Margaret O'Kelly for visiting the school and helping to judge all entries.
Thanks also to Ms Wray and all the Science Department for facilitating such an amazing event that allowed our students to showcase their fantastic talents.

A huge thank you to our Transition Year students Caitlin Heath, Sarah Sheridan, Rachel Townsend, Padraig Gilmore, and past pupils Dylan Tarmey and Aidan Murray for their involvement in the judging.

A huge congratulations to First Year student Patrick Cannon for placing first at the school's SciFest event! Well done on an amazing project!

Well done to Morgan Karra and Steffy Jiji for placing second with their project entitled 'Bouncy Balloons'.

Tiagan Walsh was the deserving recipient of the Allergen Innovation Award for her project entitled 'World of Concentration'.

The SciFest Society of Ireland Foresters Award went to Eoin Edwards for his interesting project! Well done!

Well done to all the highly commended participants in the SciFest event; Dan Cowman and Josh Brown, Keela Hawkins,
Ben Farrell and Aaron Conway, Oscar Stakem and Alex Baillie Johnston.

The ideas, skills and research demonstrated by all students were incredible. Well done to all students on their fantastic science projects!
