Cross Country
Sixty students took part in a Cross Country Event held in Avondale House. Congratulations to all the students who participated in thisevent. Well done to Amy Murphy who won the Second Year Girl’s Race and to Kate Conroy, Caitlin Olohan, Aoife Clarke and Naoise Sheridan who came second in the First Year Team Event. Congratulations must also be extended to Dylan Scott, Mark Driver, Bryan Kenna and Jamie Pender who also came second in the Senior Team Event and to Craig Curley who anindividual medal in the Second Year Boys Competition

LCVP Soccer Match

Madden’s Magical Monsters took on James’s Jolly Giants in a soccer match organised by Mr. Atkinson’s LCVP Class. The teams were made up of sixth year students and staff from the school. The competition was close but James’s Jolly Giants took the lead, winning by just one goal. The class organised the match as part of their LCVP Action Project. Match commentary was provided by Ben Travers, Kyle O’Flaherty and Stephen O’Neill and was followed by after match analysis and an awards ceremony. Well done to all those who took part in this event.

Transition News
Congratulations to Laura Cullen, Amy Kenny, Sean Keogh and Nicola O'Brien who attended a three day workshop in Baltinglass as part ofthe Wicklow Uplands Young Observers Initiative. The students took part in a number of seminars in which they learned about Wicklow Uplands Projects such as their Leave no Trace Campaign.

Transition Year Group 2008

Well done to all of last year’s Transition Year Students who were involved in the Awards Ceremony. The night was a huge success and we would like to thank all those involved for their hard work inorganising this event.

Sponsored Walk
Our annual sponsored walk is taking place today. Students have been diligently collecting money for their sponsorship cards. The money is being collected for the school’s Extra Curricular Fund. Prizes will be awarded to the best collectors from each year group, we therefore encourage students to return their cards as soon as possible.

Information Evening for Parents
An information evening for parents of First Year Students took placeon Monday Evening. The evening was very successful and we would liketo thank all those parents who took time out of their busy schedulesto attend this event.
