School Notes
Mid-Term
We would like to wish all staff and students a happy and peaceful mid-term break. Best wishes to all those who will be studying for their mocks at this time.
Music and Singing Lessons
Weekly Music lessons organised by The Bray School of Music have been up and running in the school for a number of weeks now. Many studentsare taking lessons in guitar, piano and other instruments. The Music Department is also delighted to be joined by Naoimh Penston who willbe giving weekly singing lessons to a number of students. A limited number of places are still available. Interested students can contact Ms.Noone.
Log On and Learn
The Log On and Learn Project involves Transition Year Students sharing their computer skills with older members of their community. This six week project also known as TY LOL will be up and running in our school from Wednesday 3rd March. A number of people have already signed up forthis project. Any older members of the community who wish to take part can contact the school. Please call 0404-46445 for details.
Junior Football
Our Junior Football Team will take on Arklow Community College in the first round of the league which will begin after the mid-term.
Junior Hurling Training
Junior Hurling Training has resumed and will take place every Tuesday at 1 pm. All welcome.
Quiz Team
Our Quiz Team is busy preparing for their forthcoming competition against Bridgetown Vocational College, Wexford. Weekly practice sessions take place every Thursday at 1:15 PM Best wishes to all.
Subject Choices
A number of Senior Students have kindly volunteered to speak toTransition and Third Year students who will be going into Fifth Year, about their optional subjects. This will take place on Tuesday 23rd February at lunch-time where students will also be given a chance to look over the necessary text books and course materials.
Engineering Week
Many thanks to Gerry Healy, a local engineer, who came in to speak to some of our Second and Fifth Year students. He spoke about how themaths they study in school can be applied to engineering. He alsospoke about engineering as a career.
