VEC Environmental Awareness Programme
Avondale Community College recently welcomed a number of judges to the school as part of the VEC Environmental Awareness Programme. A total of 14 Environmental Projects were presented to the panel of judges over two days. Well done to all of the students who prepared and presented their work to the judges. The school’s projects will be on display at the VEC Environmental Awards in the Brockagh Centre, Laragh on May 12.

Chess Master
Our annual Chess Championships are underway to determine who will be this year’s Chess Master. Best wishes to all those taking part in this competition.

History Trip
A trip to the National Heritage Park was enjoyed by the Second Year History students on Wednesday. Accompanied by their teachers the students welcomed the opportunity to enhance their study of Ancient Ireland.

Junior Camogie County Final
Best wishes to our Junior Camogie Team who will take on Colaiste Bhride, Carnew in the county final this week.

Practical Exams
Preparations are underway for a number of upcoming Junior and Leaving Certificate Practical Exams. Best wishes to all those who are taking part in exams at this time.
